Excellence in dairy farming recognised at CellCheck awards

Animal Health Ireland (AHI) hosted its 10th annual CellCheck awards 2023 in Killashee Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare on Friday last. The awards recognise excellence achieved by Irish dairy farmers in herd health, specifically those that achieve a consistently low somatic cell count (SCC) in their dairy herds.

Grassroots Sustainability Bonus to reward farmers for more sustainable farm practices

Dairygold is committing up to €10 million per year to its new Grassroots Milk Supplier Sustainability Bonus. The bonus will be paid to Dairygold milk suppliers who undertake certain actions on their farm designed to improve sustainability, including reducing emissions, protecting water quality and improving soil health.
