A democratic control of congress that was much bigger than republicans have now. you had for the first year until teddy kennedy passed away in massachusetts, you had 60 votes. you had a filibuster-proof majority in the senate, in addition to democratic control in the house. and a very popular president. and it still took until march of 2010, so another word it would be like passing something not this march, but a year from this march, taking 14, 15 months to pass it because even though you have this big democratic support, there was still a lot of items to work through and there was a lot of fighting going on. and then when it was finally passed, it was passed without a single republican vote, so if obamacare is going to be a model, the passing of obamacare, as opposed to the repealing and replacing of it, that shows you just how hard it can be even if you have a tremendous majority in the house and the senate, bigger than donald trump in the ....

Working relationship with congress. touching on a few different themes, we just want to remind you as he started out, the conversation with the comment, nice to win. that is how he started, and speaking about his win as president, but also the win and the great state of so crucial in campaigns year after year. he also talked a little bit about obamacare, saying this, remember obamacare is a disaster. we have to take care of american people immediately, and that was a theme that he touched on repeatedly, that the lawmakers, including himself, are there to serve the people. he also kind of had this interesting window into a conversation with speaker ryan, not sure if speaker ryan wanted that disgust, about whether or not they were going to touch obamacare for two years, because it was going to be so bad. but then saying no, we have to deal with it, because people are being hurt with the now, paraphrasing a little bit. but there you go, president trump, greeting some fellow lawmakers, and ....
Those two things that are easy to say is up to now how does mcconnell and paul ryan get that through to law? that legislation is very complex and is going to take a lot longer than president trump believes it is going to take. again, getting back to his ability as a businessman does not necessarily transferred to how things work in government. getting real about that is going to be important. jon: he ran a different kind of campaign, he has a different kind of president clearly, and may be members of congress on both parties are going to get used to a different way of doing things. i don t think there is any doubt. somebody that ran against donald trump and understood every time he did something different, we would say that is the end if his campaign, then got better at it, we said heat throughout the playbook, may be so should we. if you are trained to deal with him in the typical prism of what a president usually does come you re going to lose this fight. purity place by a differ ....
