A Stand Up Comedy Show is coming to Brownwood Lyric Theatre Saturday, May 8. The show is a fundraiser for NaNook & NaKoda’s Big Paws Rescue. Billed as “Raise the Woof” Stand Up Comedy Show, it will feature comedians Steve Mazan, James Uloth and Mickey Housley. General admission tickets are $35. VIP tickets are $75. Lincoln Courier Lincoln Police reported that a Lincoln man is dead after being shot by his wife. Jack Yates, 77, of 1418 N. Ottawa St., was pronounced dead after Lincoln Police were called to a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning. Kathleen Yates, 67, was taken into custody after being accused of shooting her husband and charged with a first degree homicide, a Class X Felony. Lincoln Police Units were called by Kathleen Yates telling the dispatcher she had shot her husband in the chest. Logan County Paramedics and Lincoln Fire Department responded and attempted to save the man, but were unsuccessful and he died due to his injuries. ....
