HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - A low pressure area to the west-northwest of Kauai will keep wet and unstable conditions over the islands. We’re expecting more showers as a cold front pushes down the chain from the north late Friday into Saturday, with thunderstorms possible ahead and along the front.
The front is expected to reach Kauai late in the day Friday, Oahu Friday night, Maui late Friday night or Saturday morning, and the Big Island Saturday afternoon. Ahead of the front it will still be warm and muggy, and the flash flood watch that’s currently in effect statewide through 6 p.m. Friday could be extended into Friday night or Saturday for the Big Island and Maui. ....
