Three people in Australia have been arrested for stealing a Big Bird costume - which they later returned with a punny note. The 7-foot-tall costume - made from ostrich feathers and valued at over $118,000 - was stolen from a Sesame Street-themed children s circus in Adelaide. It was returned a few days later along with a note signed by the Big Bird Bandits , apologizing for causing such a big birden . The two blokes thought it would be a good idea to steal a Big Bird costume from an Adelaide circus have now been charged.
The Big Bird costume was allegedly stolen last weekend (between Sunday night and Monday morning). On Monday, it was reported the costume had been stolen from the Sesame Street circus in Boynton Park, Thebarton, SA. The Sesame Street circus was part of a musical performance tour around SA that will wrap up in May.

Police searching for the Big Bird Bandits who allegedly stole a Sesame Street costume from an Australian circus have arrested and charged two men.
The yellow Big Bird costume valued at tens of thousands of dollars, according to CNN affiliate 7 News disappeared earlier from a circus area on Bonython Park, Adelaide, this week, but was returned early on Wednesday morning.
