2020, now a lot of the kind of mini me trump candidates that he endorsed also lost. this just seems like a very inopportune moment to say you are running for president why other than getting the spotlight back on you 24/7 why would you do that? bret: the other added politics here is that this run off is december 6th with herschel walker, a candidate he supported. there will be, i m sure, a big magnet for the former president to show up there. but the last time he did, after the 2020 election, where there were two senate runoffs, a lot of republican analysts and pollsters and everybody else, democrats and republicans, thought that that turned the tide on those two race. they only had to win one of those two to take control of the u.s. senate. they didn t and they lost it. could that happen again, exactly the same way, guy? well, the difference this time would be in 2020, leading into that runoff in early 2021, trump was in georgia talking about being robbed. bret: his own election ....
