I saw more smiles and hugs coming in today than i have seen in some time, and i understand why. President pistol, distinguished trustees, faculty, staff, alumni, and all members of the extended Anderson University family gather here to celebrate this prestigious 2019 graduating class. It is an honor for me, as governor of the great state of indiana, to be here with you all, and to play a role in the celebration. Soon, you will be turning your tassels. Indeed, that is a real source of pride for many of us your professors, your friends, your family. Maybe the most proud, your parents, but we all realize you did not get here alone.
