Ohuabunwa unveils 2023 bid, says Igbo presidency will stop Biafra

A member of the Presidential Advisory Committee, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, on Wednesday, in Abuja, unveiled a political platform, christened the New Nigeria Group.
He said the group would be the vehicle to drive his 2023 presidential bid.
The renowned pharmacist announced that his desire to correct the deteriorating condition of living in Nigeria was the driving force for his ambition to provide leadership for the nation at the highest level.
Ohuabunwa who is also the current President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria noted with concern that the country was being run in an opaque manner and needed to be redirected for the good of all. ....

The Nigerian Civil War otherwise known as the Biafra War was fought from 1966 to 1970. It was between the forces of the Nigerian Government and the forces of Biafra which seceded from the country at that time.

No security outfit outside ESN will operate in Igboland – Nnamdi Kanu threatens Southeast govs

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday, vowed that no other regional outfit will be allowed to operate alongside the Eastern Security Network, ESN, in the Southeast.
Kanu made the remark while issuing a warning to Southeast governors to jettison the proposed new security outfit to be launched soon in the region.
The IPOB leader, who spoke through the group’s spokesman, Emma Powerful said the proposed security outfit was intended to counter ESN.

He also vowed that IPOB will resist any Miyetti Allah vigilante group formed in the Southeast.
A statement by Powerful said: “We the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of our great Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wishes to warn South-East Governors particularly Gov Dave Umahi to jettison the proposed new security outfit they intend to launch based on the advice of the Fulani-controlled Federal Government of Nigeria. ....
