Sonitpur deputy commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das said all shops dealing with sale of groceries, vegetables, meat, eggs and dairy products will remain closed from Thursday 5 am. “The administration has instead activated home delivery of all such essential items through vendors to be deputed area-wise so that the people remain indoors during the lockdown period in order to bring the Covid situation in the district under control. Circle Officers will ensure home delivery service in areas under their respective jurisdiction. The updated list of all vendors dealing in groceries, fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs and milk and other dairy products have been uploaded. The cooperation of all citizens of Sonitpur in this regard is earnestly solicited,” Das said. ....
