A 92-year-old from Mabe who has been at the centre of the community for over 60 years was delighted when he was presented with a special Christmas hamper donated by everybody in the village. Church verger George Kingston, who has lived in Mabe so long Kingston Way Road was named after him, said he had a wonderful surprise when he received the hamper signed from all the residents in the village which had really cheered him up. I am absolutely delighted with the hamper, thank you very much to everyone for your kindness, he said. This has been a very difficult year for me, as it has been for everyone, the hamper has really cheered me up. ....
