Ammanford woman fined for speeding past primary school breaking 20mph speed limit


A AMMANFORD motorist has been billed £400 for speeding past a primary school.
Chelsea Michelle Thomas, of Heol y Felin, Ammanford, was caught speeding while driving a Ford Focus Sport at Betws Primary School, Betws Road, on June 15.
The 29-year-old was clocked travelling at a speed of 37mph in a 20mph zone by laser gun.
Thomas pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court – she was not present for the hearing.
She was fined £276, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.
Her driving licence was endorsed with five penalty points.
