Anamosa At the Wapsipinicon Country Club April 8, the logo and theme for Anamosaâs RAGBRAI overnight stop July 29 was announced: âSize Matters and We Like it Big.â âAnamosa is sort of known in the RAGBRAI community for being a fun place to come, and we always come up with fun logos and fun shirts,â RAGBRAI Chair Betty Weimer said. The theme leans into the cityâs history with the GIANT Pumpkin Weigh Off and the popular âGod Bless Americaâ sculpture that the funds from RAGBRAI will go toward getting back full time after it left in 2019. âWe just wanted to have fun with it,â Anamosa Chamber of Commerce Executive Director LeeAnna Boone said of the big theme. ....
Mar 4, 2021 Harriett Joyce Chambers, 82, of Marshalltown, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 2, 2021, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be given and a memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with burial to follow at the LeGrand Friends Cemetery.
