including betty streng, who suffered a traumatic brain injury. betty was part of a dance team called the milwaukee dancing grannies which lost three members that day, but gained something, too. when i got home from the hospital, i know i e-mailed the grannies to say i was home. they were so supportive. reporter: we assembled a few of the dancers and found a bond. i knew they were all there for me. reporter: almost like family. and that s what kept me sane. i don t think we could have done it without each other. i really don t. reptey march, theane ready prag again. still recovering, but i m so happy to be here.
