Amid continuing power outages across the Austin area and a scarcity of hotel rooms, several warming centers have opened to help residents cope with the frigid weather.

KVUE Amid power and water outages across Central Texas, local grocers are struggling to keep their doors open to Texans in need.
On Tuesday, February 16, H-E-B locations in Austin and Central Texas reopened with reduced hours. Stores are open from noon to 5 pm, the grocery chain said. The Central Market located on North Lamar Boulevard is open from 9 am to 5 pm, while the Central Market located on Westgate Boulevard will remain closed Tuesday. ....

Fixer Upper reboot and the rest of their Magnolia Network content since they announced their new cable network in 2018.
After a couple of coronavirus-related delays, they ve finally revealed a launch date.
Two launch dates, actually.
On July 15, 2021, Magnolia Network will debut on a new Magnolia app and the streaming platform Discovery+.
In January 2022, the new Magnolia Network will debut on cable TV.

An anticipated Korean concept is now cooking in South Austin. Located in the Lamar Union development at 1100 S. Lamar Blvd.,
Jjim Korean Braised BBQ practices its namesake Korean method of slow cooking, or braising, meat until tender. The concept is the latest from CKN hospitality, the powerhouse group behind Donkey Mo’s Korean Fried Chicken and Roba Katsu. On the menu are two types of Jjim: spicy pork rib Jjim and Galbi Jjim (made with beef short ribs). Each is served family-style in a cast-iron skillet alongside veggies and steamed rice. Customers can also enjoy such side dishes as soy pickles and fresh Geot Juhri kimchi, in addition to appetizers like Korean kimchi pancakes and Dubu Dubu fried tofu pockets.
