Harry J. 'Webby' Webb Sr., proud veteran

Harry J. “Webby” Webb Sr. made his final journeyFriday, March 26, 2021, to be with his family and to paint the skies.  He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford.  Harry was the patriarch of the family.  Harry was 83 and born June 27, 1937, to the late Louis and Alice Webb in Wilmington.  
Harry was a very dedicated soldier in the U.S. Army, serving 28 years.  He served two tours in Vietnam.  He was a true military man.  He received many commendations, awards and metals while serving.  After retiring he picked up the skill of painting, and painted many homes from Florida to Bethany Beach, whistling the entire time he worked with Randy Long for 15 plus years.  ....

Gary W. 'Cap' Lawson, lived rewarding life

Gary W. “Cap” Lawson, born Dec. 31, 1944, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, April 7, 2021, to go and be with his recently passed wife, Jeanne L. Lawson, whom he was with for 42 years.  Those who knew Gary knew him as “Cap”, a nickname given to him by his grandfather, which stuck his entire life.
Cap lived a very fruitful and rewarding life after being raised in what he considered a utopia in the big house on the hill in Milton.  Cap had several different professions throughout his life from his early days at Draper King Cole in Milton, running the family-owned bar and liquor store, a long tenure at Kent & Sussex Tire in Milford, a time at Macklin & Son Tire in Lincoln, owning and operating Cap’s Tire Center in downtown Milford and a final time at Macklin & Son Tire Center, until he made the decision to retire. ....

John W. "Jack" Clayton, enjoyed his Harley-Davidson

John W. “Jack” Clayton, 84, passed away at his home in Milford Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.  He was born in Latrobe, Pa., Nov. 18, 1936, to the late Bud and Margaret Moore.
Jack proudly served his country for over 20 years with the U.S. Air Force in Michigan, Texas and Delaware and was a veteran of Vietnam.  He worked as a production control scheduler at the Hydraulics Specialist and Instrumentalist School.  Once stateside, he worked as an electrician for the City of Milford as well as holding many positions at General Foods, retiring from both places.  
He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson.  Jack was a founding member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club Delaware, serving as sergeant of arms (SOA). ....

Jeanne Lynn Swain Lawson, Stockley Center retiree

 Jeanne Lynn Swain Lawson, born Aug. 9, 1957, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, with her loving husband, family and best friend surrounding her at her home in Lincoln after a courageous battle with cancer.
 Jeanne enjoyed life to the fullest - vacationing, boating, fishing, beach days, and loved her Great Danes.  Jeanne enjoyed music at the Lewes Pier with her husband and days spent at Broadkill Beach.
 Jeanne loved her time spent with her daughter, Erica Paquette; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren around the pool and on vacations.
 Jeanne began volunteering at the Stockley Center at age 15 and continued her career there, becoming director of All Delaware Developmental Disability Services.  Jeanne enjoyed the work she put into the transition teams, helping the clients she loved dearly to become responsible and plan for their futures. ....
