POMPTON LAKES After spending more than a decade on the Borough Council, Terri Reicher said 2021 will be her 12th and final year.
The Republican stalwart in her last year of a fourth three-year term said she will forgo a reelection campaign later this year. The 67-year-old said she wants to spend more time with family and traveling post-pandemic.
“I want to go out on top,” she said. “I want to make room for some new blood on the council.”
Reicher, a former Wayne resident who moved to Pompton Lakes after her three children graduated from high school, was first elected in 2009. She ran for council alongside Michael Serra, the borough s current mayor, who said her successor will have big shoes to fill.
