Tune in for free webinar about youth entrepreneurship
With more than two in five young South Africans jobless, Nelson Mandela University is presenting a free youth entrepreneurship webinar.
The webinar is titled “Entrepreneurship Outcomes for South African Youth, 2010-2020” and it will take place on Wednesday 24 February. It will be presented by the university’s School of Economics.
The webinar will feature Dr Bernice Hlagala, chief director focusing on youth in the Department of Women, Youth and People with Disabilities (DWYPD), and the university’s Department of Economics lecturer Asanda Fotoyi.
Webinar about self-employment for youth
Fotoyi said the impact of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic highlighted how vital it was to explore forms of self-employment for young people.
The sixth World NGO Day will be commemorated on Saturday, 27 February in more than 89 countries. An NGO is non-profit and is run by citizens outside of any government structure. There are an estimated 10 million NGOs in the world, employing about 50 million people. The number of NGOs is expected to double in the next decade.
