Government negotiators will meet their counterparts in brussels twice a week in september, in a bid to break the deadlock ahead of a crucial summit in october. Meanwhile the court of session scotlands highest civil court will rule this morning on whether to grant an emergency injunction, to prevent the suspension of parliament. Rise in inactivity has by far been the rise in long term sickness. That has been a brake on the economy and prompted the creation of a major back to Work Programme from government ministers. The Health Foundation thinktank projects that the number of working age adults suffering from major illness whether diabetes, depression, chronic pain or Heart Problems is actually set to rise significantly over the coming decades, in fact, by an extra 700,000 by 2040.
