CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 55-year-old Parma Heights woman is facing several criminal charges after she refused to wear a mask inside a Northeast Ohio grocery store.
According to Brook Park police, Karen Turner was arrested on Jan. 18 at the Marc’s on Smith Road for refusing to leave after being asked by employees because she was in violation of the store’s mask policy. ....

Berea Municipal Court has a current budget shortfall of more than $200,000 and will operate at a deficit for the next few years.

“That represents about two months’ worth of revenues they missed out on by being closed (due to the pandemic),” Morris said. “This shortfall is the worst-case scenario. They will have some more credits apply to the court operations that we receive for unemployment and things of that nature, but this is definitely an area we’re going to have to work on at the beginning of the year.” ....
