RETIRED teacher, Dales artist Peter Bolton is staging an exhibition of his paintings to help raise money for the Bentham Parish Church Building Fund.
Mr Bolton, who was deputy head teacher at High Bentham community primary school where he worked for 30 years from 1971 until 2001, is also a successful artist painting the wild, rugged landscapes of the Dales and Lakes.
He studied Fine Art at Leeds University and went on to exhibit and sell his paintings all over the country and abroad. Together with his wife Margaret, he ran an art gallery in Ingleton for 17 years.
The exhibition at Bentham Golf Club, in aid of ongoing work at Bentham Parish Church will open on Friday, June 25, with a special ticket only, meet the artist event, and will run over the weekend with free entry until Sunday, June 27. ....
