Authorities are hoping to introduce a three-colour health code system in Hong Kong as soon as possible, by adding the function to the existing Leave Home Safe app.
Officials are taking reference from the systems used in mainland China and Macau, where people with green QR codes are considered low-risk, and yellow or red codes are seen as at high risk of having been infected.
