The trial that is broadcast all over Vegas sees Glen try to appeal to Lloyd Henreid (Nat Wolff) and all those watching that they may still have a chance to redeem themselves from their evil ways. As Glen’s words begin to have an effect on the people, Lloyd shoots and kills him.  Following the trial, Nadine Cross (Amber Heard) meets with a captive Larry alone. Last we saw her, Nadine was very pregnant, and reduced to a frail pale demeanor because of Flagg’s seed. When Larry forces Nadine to see her reflection the shock induces labor. But as Nadine realizes what she has become and how unholy their child would be, she flings herself from the penthouse, killing both her and the child.

Jovan Adepo as Larry Underwood, Alexander Skarsgård as Randall Flagg and Irene Bedard as Ray Brentner in The Stand . (CBS) Following the trial, Nadine Cross (Amber Heard) meets with a captive Larry alone. This again is slightly different from what happens in the book where, in her final moments, Nadine prophetically tells Flagg that four men from Boulder would come and destroy him. Flagg subsequently loses his temper and hurls her from the penthouse balcony, killing her.

The Stand's Owen Teague on incel forums and hating Harold Lauder

[Warning: Spoilers for The Stand’ s seventh episode follow.] CBS All Access’ 10-episode adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand is, like the book on which it’s based, an unwieldy beast overflowing with characters, ideas, gore, and more. Not every episode’s been a home run, but each has been enlivened by Owen Teague’s harrowing turn as Harold Lauder, a bullied teen who, in the wake of an apocalyptic pandemic, can’t stop his resentments from boiling over into violence. As we’ve noted, Josh Boone and Benjamin Cavell’s new adaptation plants Harold, a supporting character in the novel, front and center, allowing his torn soul to serve as the story’s primary representation of free will as it exists in this struggle between the forces of good and evil.

The Stand: Why The Kid Didn't Appear in The Series

The Stand: Why The Kid Didn t Appear in The Series Last week s episode of CBS All Access s limited series adaptation of Stephen King s The Stand saw the much-anticipated debut of Ezra Miller as one of the story s most interesting and significant characters, Donald Merwin Elbert, better known as The Trashcan Man. In the novel, readers get to know Trashcan Man or Trashy as he s also called over several chapters that detail his journey to Randall Flagg s New Vegas. One part of Trashy s story includes his encounter with a character named The Kid and while that character factored Train King s extended version of the novel, they were left out of this latest series adaptation. Fans noticed this absence, but according to showrunner Benjamin Cavell, while they initially planned to include The Kid, there just wasn t a reason to add him into the story.
