Fifty-year-old Mrs Toyin Kazeem is sad at the moment. The mother of four who sells firewood and grinds pepper to fend for herself and family members told
Sunday PUNCH that she had been put out of business by swindlers who scammed her and other victims in the guise of granting them loans to grow their businesses.
Kazeem was among traders and artisans in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, and environs duped of their monies by alleged conmen who operated under the Atlas Initiative Scheme Investment.
Although the victim could not ascertain the exact number of those defrauded by the thrift company, she said over 1000 traders and artisans were in attendance at a seminar organised by the fraudsters.
