THE Cebu City government plans to build three medium-rise buildings in two of the city barangays next year.
Simeon Romarate, head of the Cebu City Division for the Welfare of the Urban Poor (DWUP) said two medium-rise buildings will be built at Barangay Lorega while another one will be located in Barangay Mambaling. The third one will be in Barangay Mambaling.
Each building will have a 1,000-square-meter floor area and can accommodate 96 families.
Romarate said that each beneficiary family will get a studio-type unit, which will have a floor area of 22-24 square meters.
The Cebu City Government is also looking at the construction of five more buildings in Barangay Quiot and two in Barangay Budlaan. ....
