COVID-19 cases increase week over week
COVID-19 daily cases, hospitalizations and deaths all increased in Oregon last week, the state’s weekly report shows.
The Oregon Health Authority reported 4,786 new daily cases during the week of Jan. 25-31, a 16% increase from the previous week.
Hospitalizations increased to an average of 36 per day. That’s a 14% increase from the previous week.
Deaths increased slightly, from 74 to 76.
There were 119,390 COVID-19 tests administered last week, slightly more than the previous week. The percentage of positive tests increased to 5.4%.
