The last 9 months have been overwhelming as our world has been in the midst of the pandemic. As we have all been social distancing and doing what we can to help others stay safe, many are out on the frontlines and face-to-face with those who are battling the virus, including Sylvia Clark. Sylvia is an RN at Mayo Clinic and has been working in the medical intensive care unit, which is the primary focus area for the critically ill COVID population currently.
I had an opportunity to speak with Syliva to learn more about what these past 9 months have been like for those in the healthcare industry. We dove right into the conversation and Sylvia offered some great insight into what she and her co-workers on the frontlines have been experiencing and seeing, including how lonely the patients are while they are hospitalized.
