The Sindh government issued on Saturday the Benazir Mazdoor Card for labourers across the province.
It will help provide all necessary benefits and facilities
such as education, health, marriage grants, financial assistance, scholarships
and pensions to labourers.
The Sindh Labour Department launched the Benazir Mazdoor
Card at a ceremony at the CM House in Karachi.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has launched ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ for those laborers holding domicile of Sindh.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, the PPP chairman said that Bhutto Shaheed gave rights to the workers and gave all the projects including EOBI. The PPP was the first to formulate a labor policy, he added.
He said that he was happy to attend today s event adding that the labor card will benefit the workers of Sindh. ....

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said the bailout deal between the federal government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has adversely affected industrial growth in the country and left thousands of labourers jobless.
“The federal government-IMF deal has badly affected our industrial growth,” the PPP chief said on Saturday while addressing a ceremony held at the Sindh Chief Minister House to distribute the Benazir Mazdur Card among labourers on the occasion of the Labour Day.
“When industrial growth stops employment opportunities shrink. Today thousands of workers have been rendered jobless as industrial production has declined,” he added. ....

KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet on Tuesday approved disbursement of a relief grant worth Rs4.021 billion among people affected by last year’s heavy monsoon rainfall through the mobile banking system.
Presiding over the cabinet meeting here, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that this would help the affected people to receive cash on showing their original computerized national identity cards (CNICs) to the mobile bank without going into the process of opening a bank account. ....

The Sindh cabinet approved a relief grant of over Rs4 billion on Tuesday for those who sustained losses during the 2020 monsoon rains. The cash is to be disbursed among the affectees through the mobile banking system.
Besides, the cabinet approved the establishment of an anti-encroachment police station in Tharparkar district and a proposal for universalised social security system in the province, and set up committees to review the recruitment policy for teaching and non-teaching staff and to review a proposal by the agricultural department seeking its own works unit . ....
