RAWALPINDI: Polling for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections concluded in the twin cities on Sunday, with verbal clashes between PML-N and PTI workers reported in some polling stations.
In the AJK Legislative Assembly, three Valley and Jammu constituencies fall in the twin cities and Rawalpindi Division and six in different districts of the province, including Lahore.
Despite the hot weather, polling started on time and ended at 5pm. Voters remained active in PML-N, PPP and PTI camps in different areas especially in the city and cantonment areas. Strict security measures had been adopted for smooth polling in the garrison city.

RAWALPINDI: Parks and Horticulture Authority Vice Chairman Malik Abid Hussain has said that the government went across a revolutionary major milestone as it successfully put new K-2 atomic power generation project in production mode which would add 2500 megawatts cheap and environment-friendly electricity in national grid.
He made these remarks while talking to the public and local PTI officials during the visits to Allama Iqbal Park on the Benazir Bhutto Road and Rawal Park on the Rawal Road. With the inauguration of the K-2 atomic power generation project, Malik Abid Hussain said that Pakistan would enhance its capacity of atomic power generation up to 36 megawatts by the end of March 2022.
