Import and export between Bangladesh and India through Benapole land port resumed today after closure for three days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims.
A total of 95 trucks carrying different items of goods entered Bangladesh from India while 42 trucks of goods entered India from Bangladesh from this morning to noon, sources at the Benapole Port said.
Many goods laden trucks are still waiting to enter Bangladesh from the Indian side, they added.
With the resumption of import and export the port has become busier as well, reports our Benapole correspondent. ....
