Trump ally Ronna McDaniel reelected to head Republican National Committee By Adam Brewster January 8, 2021 / 4:08 PM / CBS News Ronna McDaniel, an ally of President Trump, was reelected Friday to another term as Republican National Committee chair at a party meeting in Amelia Island, Florida. The meeting of GOP leaders came the same week that supporters of President Trump attacked the U.S. Capitol and when Republicans lost two Senate races in Georgia, which gave Democrats control of the chamber. The violence does not represent acts of patriotism, but an attack on our country and its founding principles. Our Founding Fathers established a nation of laws, not a nation of anarchy, McDaniel said on Friday. As the transition of power continues over the next two weeks, I call on individuals to respect law enforcement, law and order, and our great system of governance. ....
President. mike: is that wise? it s not wise but it s factually accurate. what he s articulating, there s nothing in the constitution that limits the number of times you can vote on articles impeachment but i don t think it s a practical thing we need to be going going into the 2020 election where joe biden s leading president trump by double digits. the more time we spend on this issue, not having a narrow boat and a trial in the senate, the more time we are focusing on that and not reaching voters in swing states that across the midwest, the democrats are losing ground. let s not take our eyes off the ball. mike: the republican campaign committee can make ads out of that sound bite. you come at the king, you best not miss. they want to ensure trump s reelection, they should keep impeaching him. certainly democrats have fallen for it now, get in this washington, d.c., beltway bubble, they think that viewers ....
katie: and showcasing his guests who have been affected by his policies, legislation that he has signed, and projects at the white house has really championed to make people s lives better. being able to show, these are real people who aren t from the beltway bubble, who are benefiting from these things. the one thing i want to say about the guests i think it also shows there is a stark contrast between democrats and republicans but who the invite. president trump is inviting a family whose family members were murdered by an illegal immigrant in their home in nevada. you have this woman who alexandria ocasio-cortez is inviting as someone who is a champion of going after brett kavanaugh. well, every single ethics complaint was dismissed against him and every single claim that was brought against him was found to be bogus with no evidence. so if were going to talk about due process, it s very clear that republicans and the president believe in that and democrats do not. harris: i w ....
i just want to remind you all because it s been a little bit over three weeks, okay, it s been a little bit over three weeks, trump is now ordering federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid. our country is in a hell hole right now, [ bleep ]. we need to take this seriously. i feel like we need to take some action. i m scared. this is crazy. so a lot of important points made there. one, this is not a washington story anymore. there are real victims. it s not a beltway bubble. he s hurting real people over a wall that isn t popular enough in his own base to push republicans the way his base usually does on his inane thoughts. it made democrats getting for a tit for tat and reminds me of the campaign in 2016 when trump did a good job pulling people down to his level. ....
Public perception on an issue. that is an important function of it. i believe axios published 85 potential things that could be looking into l and these are things the american public is focused on right now especially what is going on with the mueller probe. oh, god. don t oh, god me, rachel. we heardrd today that the trump foundation is nothing more than a flush fund, not the clinton foundation, thep trump foundation, and trump university had a $25 million fraud investigation into it. his family, they were profiting off of the office, you had the whole saudi royal contingent judge jeanine: the saudi money thatn. hillary took to her foundation and never reported, and now rachel, go ahead and get in. i just want to say, you are living, jessica, in new york city d.c. beltway bubble. because outside in real americag ....
