Reopened a short time ago. This crash shut down both lanes there on both sides of the highway, northbound and southbound direction just past san antonio road. Im hearing from Julian Glover that the southbound lanes should be opening shortly. I will send it over right now to reggie and kumasi for an update from him. Weve been talking about this crash all morning long. It looked awful, but it didnt actually hurt anyone seriously. As you can imagine, chp says alcohol was involved in this crash. Police received calls of shots fired last night near 50 redwood parkway and oakwood avenue and then a car that crashed into three parked vehicles in the same area. Police found two people inside a badly damaged black vehicle and injured passenger was taken to the hospital. Driver died at the scene. Official say it is not clear if the driver was shot to death or died in the crash. Drivers who use the car pool lane to shake a few minutes off the commute, federal highway Officials Say this is not helping enough. Our reporter is along interstate 680 with more. Amy . I want to start with this one. This is a water main break in visitation valley. You can see how much water there is flowing over the sidewalk and then rushing down the street. This morning, a man is in custody and under evaluation after leading Police Officers on a high speed chase through two east bay cities. It all ended in a lengthy standoff. Lilian kim has the story. Reporter a man standing on the roof of a College Avenue business in berkeley brought out dozens of officers. Police wont say whether he was armed but they did say he assaulted one of their own when he rammed into one of their vehicles, the incident that triggered the evenings chain of events.
