Nashville prosecutors preparing for a murder trial against police officer Andrew Delke have hired an expert witness who testified in the high-profile trial against former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin. In court Tuesday, they argued the witness would provide potent context on police uses of force. Delke was charged with first-degree murder after he killed Daniel Hambrick in an on-duty shooting. The state has retained Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Jody Stiger as a possible expert witness. Stiger testified as an expert on police use of force in the case against the former officer convicted of murder in George Floyd s death. ....
