The presidential candidate of the Finns Party, Jussi Halla-aho states on YLE’s voter guidance pages that he supports upholding the requirement that the president of the republic shall be a native-born Finnish national, adding that the requirement could “well be extended” to cabinet ministers and members of parliament.
Either Saara Hyrkkö or Sofia Virta, each a second-term member of the Finnish Parliament, will replace Maria Ohisalo as chairperson of the Green League in June.
