Australian universities have experienced “very deep infiltration” from the Chinese Communist Party, according to the IPA’s Bella D’Abrera.
The remarks come after federal Education Minister Alan Tudge criticised Honi Soit - a student publication of the University of Sydney – for removing an article exposing links between university academics and the CCP.
“It’s very deep infiltration and this has been discussed a lot in the last couple of years , she told Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
“We must remember that the University of Sydney still has a Confucius Institute – among many other universities in Australia which is directly tied to the Chinese Communist Party. ....

IPA’s Dr Bella D’Abrera says the replacement of the western canon by critical race theory and identity politics in universities is giving students a “very depressing and very limiting worldview” by identifying people by their differences.
“The cultural and intellectual heritage of western civilisation is being completely removed from the humanity as they are today and being replaced with these divisive theories of identity politics and critical race theory,” she told Sky News host Chris Smith.
These findings came after an audit of 1,181 humanities subjects from Australia’s top ten universities and Dr D’Abrera says “572 teach identity politics and 380 teach critical race theory” and are giving students a “narrow worldview”. ....
