Paulding ice was one of the heavy chores that kept dwight busy as he waited for his appointment to the United States military academy at west point. At the academy, cadet eisenhower drilled in the quadrangle, worshiped at the chapel, and pledged his attention to duty, service to country in the service of the school. At the inauguration of president 1913,w wilson in eisenhower marched proudly with his fellow cadets in the inaugural parade. Up with thee lined military Academy Football team, but he injured a knee and cadet eisenhower saw his football career come to an end.
