that woman in oakland tonight, one of many who feels the decision to clear those officers is unjust. good evening, i m julie haener. and i m frank somerville. here in the bay area we saw protesters making a statement tonight with their cars. take a look, traffic on the bay bridge slowed to a crawl around 6:30 tonight as caravans of protesters collectively slowed the evening commute this video from scott fox shows the unusually heavy traffic on the upper deck headed into the city . because of the backup some transit agencies, including muni , temporarily suspended their trans bay service. we also saw slow traffic on the dunbar bridge in another display of civil disobedience. this was shortly before 6:00 as a small caravan of slow moving cars made their way west across the bridge. in oakland protesters gathered outside city hall tonight to display their displeasure with the term events and also to recognize lives lost in california at the hands of police. tran wants amber
just 12 acres, but there facing elevated fire danger this weekend. hello again, i m frank somerville. and i m julie haener with hot and windy weather in the forecast a fire weather watch goes into effect saturday morning. we get live coverage now from ktvu the debora villalon. it s believed landscaping work sparked today s fire. reporter: a mower, trimming high grass for fire prevention. but in the heat of the mitt day , all it took was a spark, setting off a big response and a lot of stress for residents who have artie been through so much. a firefight by air and ground north of santa rosa. it was out in about 90 minutes. 12 acres burned, but caused some outsized alarm, scorching the same area, even reprinting the scar of the huge tubs fire three years ago. i was angry. that i thought was anger. we just put this house together and moved in. reporter: this newhouse, occupied in only four weeks, replaces the one destroyed in 2017. to see fire racing at it once again-
