Breonna taylor say her name among those arrested was a state representative, atticus scott. He had pushed for legislation outlawing no knock warrants. About 200 people were outside the First Unitarian Church where they had taken refuge after they remained in the streets while a nighttime curfew was in effect. Reporter parts of San Franciscos tenderloin district have become notorious for open air drug sales and use. Now City Attorney Dennis Herrera has deployed a new tool, aimed at keeping drug dealers out of the city. This morning my office found 28 known drug dealers to prevent them from coming in. These drug dealers do not live in the tenderloin. Reporter the injunctions are only for those who live outside of San Francisco and come into the city to sell drugs. The attorney junctions can be an effective tool to use. Certainly there are criminal penalties that can accrue. But the fact of the matter is, if someone is going to also suffer a financial penalty of a significant dollar amount, thats something that dissuades individuals from engaging in conduct. San franciscos police chief agreed. These gives officers another yet a another tool killing our toolkit. It would include an extension of the paycheck Reduction Program to small businesses, help for schools and unemployment funds and it would include 1200 direct relief checks to some americans and aid to state and local governments, two sticking points which Senate Republicans emitted from their original 1 trillion proposal.
