My sister started 2020 with her husband having a heart attack and quadruple bypass. He is now disabled. She also has to take care of her son with spina bifida.
During this year, her landlord sold the building and she had to move. She lost her job to the pandemic. What money she has goes to food and rent.

Here is an excerpt of her story:

Her house was destroyed by a fire a couple days ago. Her husband, son and her parents who live with her escaped. She was rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition. But her two daughters, ages 5 and 8, died in the fire.
This tragedy is unthinkable. We lost one daughter to a school shooting and cannot imagine losing two daughters like this. Our heart goes out to her whole family. ....

Her husband passed unexpectedly of a blood clot; she experienced several medical events including uncontrollable (atrial fibrillation) and a stroke. Due to these events, she lost her home. She found a mobile home and fixed it up to a charming little cottage. Last Friday, Dec. 11, her air conditioner started on fire resulting in a total loss of home and contents. ....
