Professor Bela Stantic, the founder and head of Griffith Universityâs Big Data and Smart Analytics Lab, has used his methods to successfully predict the results of the 2019 Australian federal election, Brexit and the election of Donald Trump to the US presidency.

He said support from the public for vaccination against coronavirus was about 90 per cent at the start of the year, before falling to about 55 per cent in March when news came through of issues with blood clots associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
