The Prophet Micah had a vision that,
“In the Last Days the Mountain of the LORD’s House will be exalted… and peoples will stream to it” (4:1). This is the first time the term “Mountain of the House” –
“HAR HA-BAIT” in Hebrew – is used. Today it is the most used name for the
Temple Mount.
This mountain of mountains, the holiest place in Judaism, where the
First and Second Jewish Temples were built, the location of the Holy of Holies and a dwelling place for God’s
Shekinah presence, is also known as Mt. Moriah, Mt. Zion, and other names we learn about as we “go up” with our guide Sharona.
