Oak Park and River Forest High School was placed on a soft lockdown Wednesday after threats of shooting inside the school went viral on social media.Authorities said the threat was not credible. No one has been injured.The school was placed in “secure and teach” mode at around noon, officials said, meaning that no one could enter or leave the building, but teaching would proceed as normal.Police then received reports of shots fired and arrived at the scene.
The 2023-24 preliminary budget was approved Monday, along with changes to the district s Behavior Education Plan and the elimination of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for staff.
