Beebe Oncology Services and Hudson Fields have partnered for the second year to host the 18th Annual Miracle Mile from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 5.
Last year was the first time the Miracle Mile was held as a drive-thru event due to COVID-19 safety protocols.
This year, the Miracle Mile will return with new, interactive opportunities for the community. The drive will be held from 8 to 9 a.m., and a socially distanced Miracle Mile walk will begin at 9 a.m. The event will also include a variety of programs, including free, private, skin cancer screenings performed by trained healthcare professionals. ....

The Miracle Angels of Israel United Methodist Church in Lewes presented Beebe Medical Foundation with a gift of $5,495 to support Beebe Healthcare’s oncology services patient special needs fund.
The group’s last annual gift was made in February 2020, and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Under the leadership of the Rev. Marjorie Belmont-Burns, the Miracle Angels have always raised funds through a multitude of community activities including yard sales, bake sales and special events. Clear Space Theatre is returning to collaborate with Beebe Medical Foundation for a reader’s theatre fundraiser at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, and 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 28.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Beebe Oncology Services and the Clear Space Theatre Arts Institute. This year’s play is “Terms of Endearment.”
Tables are $100 for a table for two or $200 for a table for four. Seating is limited due to COVID-19 safety measures. To purchase tickets, go to ClearSpaceTheatre.org or call the box office at 302-227-2270.
