By the Gazette staff Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Bedford Barracks, Bedford County Sherriff Office, Everett Borough Police Department and the Center for Community Action assisted Bedford Elementary School, HOPE for Hyndman Charter School and Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries with an Earth Day project on Wednesday. Students created bird feeders and planters out of recycled milk cartons and plastic bottles. The items were collected by partnering agencies and delivered to partnered senior centers and care homes in Bedford, Everett, Broad Top Township, Hopewell and Hyndman. Students also took time to write letters to senior citizens to brighten their day. ....
(from Bedford County Sherriff Office) On Saturday, December 18 th, 2020, Bedford County Sheriff’s Office received information that a subject described as a very short (had a hard time seeing over the steering wheel), white male, approximately 20 years old, and a mustache, attempted to steal a Kawasaki ATV from a residence on Crab Orchard Road. The owner was able to catch the subject in the act and the subject fled, leaving the ATV behind. The vehicle appears to be an extended cab Ford F-150 with a small white enclosed trailer (see photo).
