A trial date for a North Carolina man facing a first-degree murder charge in Bedford County in connection with a Forest woman’s death recently was rescheduled to Nov. 12.
The Bedford County School Board canceled an emergency injunction hearing Wednesday in Bedford Circuit Court related to a recent lawsuit it filed against a parent on grounds of “obscene, profane, lewd” language in interactions with schools’ personnel.
The Bedford County School Board recently filed a lawsuit against a Staunton River High School parent, claiming abusive language and harassment that cost the division in resources. The Moneta resident in a motion to dismiss argues the school division has not met legal obligations in child’s individualized educational program.
