Amid a bed crunch in hospitals due to the increasing number of Covid-19 patients each passing day, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to acquire rooms in 4 and 5-star hotels to shift the recovered Covid-19 patients.
Patients in these hotel rooms will be managed professionally by staff from major Covid-19 hospitals and their parameters will be constantly monitored. This move is likely to vacant the hospital beds for critical patients.
According to BMC, patients will have to bear the cost of the rooms and food in these hotels.
