East Suffolk Council declared by-election winners from its Lowestoft base for the Beccles and Worlingham and Framlingham wards

The Conservatives and Greens have retained their respective Framlingham and Beccles seats in the East Suffolk Council by-elections.
Polls were held on Thursday alongside the Suffolk County Council and Police and Crime Commissioner ballots for vacant seats in Framlingham and Beccles and Worlingham, following resignations in the last year.
Results were declared after counting on Monday, where Lydia Freeman secured the Framlingham seat to ensure it remained with the Conservatives, while the new Green councillor for Beccles and Worlingham is Sarah Plummer.

The candidates contesting two by-elections at East Suffolk have been published ahead of polling day on May 6.
East Suffolk Council has a seat available each for the Beccles & Worlingham and Framlingham wards, following the resignations of Graham Elliott and William Taylor respectively.
The candidates are as follows:
Beccles & Worlingham: Mark Bee (C), Sarah Plummer (G), Dom Taylor (L)
Framlingham: Lydia Freeman (C), Beth Keys-Holloway (G), Paul Richards (L)
