As coronavirus swelled last March, it impacted almost every facet of human existence. But for those in the business of events built for large groups of people like the concerts, conventions, sports and productions the VBC hosts it was a particularly gnarly curveball. After the VBC had to layoff part-time employees, full timers absorbed new responsibilities, often well outside their job description, to keep labor costs down.
