The Louisiana Public Service Commission is investigating Beauregard Electric and sent the non-profit a "data request" requiring the co-op to provide a voluminous amount of information. The PSC probe is expected to take months. It's purpose is to determine if activities by the board have cost consumers extra money.
An investigative report of Beauregard Electric Cooperative directors was performed by Kean Miller law firm at the request of the directors. The findings of that report are out and now the La. Public Service Commission is doing an audit and investigation of the Cooperative.
