BCCC Announces Spring 2021 Scholarship Recipients

Press Release:     The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following scholarship recipients for the Spring 2021 semester. Eight-week, online Late Start classes start on March 8, and they are still open for registration. Before applying for scholarships, all applicants must complete a FAFSA. The Financial Aid Office will hold two virtual sessions to help students complete their FAFSA on Tuesday, February 16 from 9:00 AM–11:00 AM and Thursday, February 18 from 2:00 PM–4:00 PM.     Justin Banks, 22, received the BCCC Board of Trustees Scholarship. The Chocowinity resident is working toward an Associate in Arts. Banks attended Calvary Baptist Church School, and he plans attend East Carolina University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health. He is the husband of Stephen Peed. He currently works as a seasonal sales associate at Belk.

Press Release:     The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following scholarship recipients for the Spring 2021 semester. Students can still sign up for online, 8-week Late Start classes.     Hunter Bullock, 19, received the David Clark and the Coach Bill Lake Scholarships. The Chocowinity resident is working toward an Associate in Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. The son of Robbie and Stacy Bullock, he attended Southside High School. He currently works as a perishable associate at Food Lion and plans to perform maintenance at an industry.     The David Clark Endowment was established in 2011 by Trader Construction Company-New Bern, NC and Potash Corp-Aurora, NC in memory of David Clark. David was a Trader Construction Company superintendent with more than 30 years of industrial construction experience. He was an exemplary employee and excellent role model for his fellow co-workers. BCCC Announces Spring 2021 Scholarship Recipients

Press Release:     The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following scholarship recipients for the Spring 2021 semester.     Grace Alford received the State Employees Credit Union Scholarship. The New Bern resident plans to transfer to East Carolina University and work as a practicing psychologist.     Scholarships are awarded to students who best exemplify the membership philosophy of credit unions, People Helping People, and have demonstrated leadership, excellence of character, integrity, and community involvement. Preference will be given to students whose parents or guardians and family members are public sector employees who live and work in North Carolina. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 of higher and be enrolled in an associate degree, diploma or certificate program.
