Look: Lindani Myeniâs wife, grandmother at his memorial service

DURBAN - The wife of the slain Lindani Myeni, Lindsay, has arrived at her husbandâs memorial service with her two young children and her in-laws at the Empangeni Rugby Club.
Myeniâs grandmother Ntombi Shushu has also arrived at the venue along with friends and families on Thursday morning.
Some of the mourners were wearing T-shirts bearing images of Myeniâs face.
Myeni, the 29-year-old former rugby player was shot dead by Honolulu police officers on April 14.
The police said they had been responding to an alleged break-in when the shooting occurred.

The body of former KwaZulu-Natal rugby player Lindani Myeni landed in South Africa from Hawaii on Saturday.

Myeni was shot and killed by the police two weeks ago.
The police department was responding to a 911 call from a woman who said there was an alleged burglary.
Family members, friends and government officials gathered at the OR Tambo International Airport to receive his remains.
“We hope the Hanolulu police department will cooperate in releasing important information about the investigation into the death of Lindani, if this happens, we will be at peace,” said Social Development Minister Linidiwe Zulu.
The family, together with Lindani Myeni’s widow Lindsay Myeni, had said earlier this week that they wanted Myeni to be buried in South Africa. #LindaniMyeni #JusticeforLindani #BLM

Efforts are underway to bring home the body of slain KZN father, Lindani Myeni, from the US.
Provincial government delegates and officials from Umhlathuze visited the 29-year-old s family in eSikhaleni on Wenesday.
They ll be assisting them with repatriation efforts. The father-of-two was killed by police in Hawaii a week ago.
According to media reports, they were responding to a burglary in Honolulu, when he was shot.
Myeni s grandmother Beatrice Nhleko says they want him home. We have a legal representative there , who is liaising with the American government. At this stage, we are not aware of what Lindani is accused off and the version of events change every time officials call us.
